Modern Lifestyles Are Not Conducive to Good Colon Health

February 22nd, 2010 by admin

Not many people notice their digestive system until there is an apparent or urgent problem, such as gas or irregularity. Surely these occurrences or inconveniences, more than often, place the spotlight on proper colon health or digestive system maintenance. Surely none of us would allow either of these issues to go unchecked. But there are methods to ensure the problems do not create uncontrolled issues.

It has long been recognized that the average American diet is usually quite high in both fat and calories. What is the problem with that? You ask. Well our modern lifestyles are not conducive to good colon health. I recognize our society is becoming aware of the problem associated with this lifestyle. Did we forget about the serious child obesity problem we all face, although I know this is not the main subject matter here but it sure is part of it. As we go to social events, birthday parties, weddings and anniversaries, or go to a party for the New Year and so on and so on, the potential for overeating gets even greater. We are what we are – a glutinous society.

Over a period of time, a diet clearly lacking in nutrients and fiber can cause undigested food to slow down its transmit time in the colon. This left over residue can lead to occasional, if not consistent, constipation(the average adult walks around with seven to twenty-five pounds of fecal matter in their system). Few individuals know that about seventy-five per cent of the body’s immune cells reside in the digestive tract. Therefore, paying attention to the maintenance of sound colon health helps support the overall well-being of the digestive system, which in turn is essential in keeping you and your loved ones healthy.

One way to create the protection is to form a partnership with a healthy eating style. I suggest we all take a look at the low glycemic eating habits doctors recommend for diabetics. Now, not later, is the time to stop filling your digestive tract with an influx of high caloric foods. I am totally in support of supplementation to increase you immune system.

Also, routinely using a colon and cleansing system will do wonders for your digestive health and believe it or not, your personality. Use a system with a powerful combination of herbs and botanicals to detoxify, to cleanse, and to purify the digestive tract and liver. Use a system that will mildly purge the body of accumulated toxins and requires no more than a week to do. Look around, before you buy, there are many very good systems out there.

Remember if you do not take care of you and yours, who will?
